Portmeirion's Holly and Ivy pattern was designed by second-generation Portmeirion designer Anwyl Cooper-Willis in 1996 as a contemporary arrangement of antique illustrations with a flowing script of a lyric from the 17th Century English carol it's named after. A plump holiday turkey will leave the dinner table speechless when it arrives on this 20-by-15-inch turkey platter.
White with rich red and green holly and ivy, the platter's center is ringed with the lyrics to the carol: The holly and the ivy, when they are both full grown, of all the trees that are in the woods the holly bears the crown. The design and script are hand-painted on the platter's high-quality earthenware, and the platter is safe in both the microwave and dishwasher--making clean-up a breeze--and can be placed in the oven and heated gradually up to 340 degrees F.
